THE FACELESS WOMAN (UNDERWORLD)

This was the visual exploration for the Faceless Woman from the Underworld.

The challenge was to tell the idea in just two or three storyboard-style images: as the woman turns around in the underworld, she has no front side. When she rotates, instead of revealing her face and torso, we see her back again.

The goal was to find a visual language that could clearly communicate this impossible anatomy while maintaining the unsettling and dreamlike logic of the underworld.

The Underworld was conceived with a monochromatic palette, inspired by black-and-white photography, emphasizing contrast, texture, and atmosphere.

Cometierra is a Mexican mystery-fantasy series for Amazon Prime Video, based on the acclaimed Argentine novel by Dolores Reyes, where I worked as a VFX Concept Artist under the supervision of @alevalente.vfx.
