THE UNDERWORLD

The Underworld was conceived as a dreamlike space where the ground mirrored itself as the sky. It felt like a black-and-white film, sometimes displaying natural photographic texture and, at other times, appearing heavily overexposed, creating an optical effect similar to a wrap light, where the light seems to consume the silhouettes and soften the contrast between figures and their surroundings.

My work focused on developing both the environment and several character explorations within this world.

The creative development during the pre-production of Cometierra was carried out under the VFX supervision of Ale Valente.

"Cometierra" is a Mexican mystery-fantasy series for Amazon Prime Video, based on the Argentine novel by Dolores Reyes. Produced by Cimarrón México and directed by Daniel Burman, Martín Hodara, and Cris Gris.
